Job Overview – Pediatric LPN (Treatment Nurse):

Compensation: $41/hour

Location: White Plains, NY

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Become a key member of a pediatric care team as a Pediatric LPN (Treatment Nurse) with our client in White Plains, NY. In this full-time weekday role, you’ll provide hands-on nursing care, administer treatments, and support children with acute and chronic conditions. Ideal for LPNs with pediatric experience, this opportunity blends clinical care, family education, and care coordination in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities as the Pediatric LPN (Treatment Nurse):

  • Patient Care: Administer treatments, assist with wound care, and monitor vital signs in a pediatric setting.
  • Medication Management: Dispense medications safely, track responses, and follow established protocols.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and care teams to deliver comprehensive treatment.
  • Family Education: Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, and at-home care instructions.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to facility policies and state regulations.
  • Emergency Response: Respond quickly to urgent medical situations, providing care within LPN licensure scope.

Qualifications for the Pediatric LPN (Treatment Nurse):

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
  • Licensure: Active LPN license in the State of New York required.
  • Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required, with pediatric-specific certifications considered a plus.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of LPN experience, with prior experience in pediatric care or treatment nursing strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in EMR systems and documentation best practices.
  • Skills & Attributes: Compassionate and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering family-centered pediatric care.
